Booked a pottery class 1 day ahead and it was so much fun! The workshop is in Hanoi's old quarter itself- which makes it super convenient for those who cant make the trip to the Bat Trang ceramic village but would love to try pottery.
so much fun with pottery class in hanoi
The teacher Thu was so patient and funny. He helped me try repeatedly until I ran out of clay (you get a whole big bag of it). Its not easy, especially if its your first time at pottery but you'll enjoy it. Classes are about an hour and half (if you are the only student) and you'll learn how to form a cup, bowl and plate and etc.. Its not easy and takes alot of practice and steady hands. To finish, your work has to be baked and rested which is a 3 day process. You can either wait for 3 days and pick up your work from the shop or have it shipped to your country when its done (you pay for the shipping rates). Alternatively, they'll let you select an item from the shop as a keepsake- which I did. Give it a try!make many products
